Digital Humanities in South Australia

eRSA has its sights set on not only providing eResearch support for the humanities, arts and social sciences community, but establishing South Australia as the ‘hub’ for all researchers in the digital humanities space.

Digital Humanities Research connects researchers and graduate students across the universities working with digital technology in a range of disciplines, including anthropology, visual arts, museums and collections, social and environmental history, literary studies and linguistics.

Our goal as a ‘Humanities Hub’ is to:

  • Contribute to a growing Digital Humanities network both locally and nationally.
  • Lead the HASS DEVL project, a landmark investment in Australia’s largest and most diverse research community under the National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS) and ensure benefits for local South Australian researchers.
  • Document and disseminate the outputs of this nationally significant initiative.
  • Attract and facilitate significant international and national digital humanities events to benefit local humanities researchers.
